Play Bus Fever Party online: a free bus jam puzzle in your browser
This is a free browser puzzle in the style of Bus Fever Party!, the bus jam game from the mobile ads. Tap buses out of a packed lot, match riders to buses by colour and clear the line before the bays fill up. It has 30 levels of its own, a hint button, and nothing to download. It is an unofficial fan version and is not affiliated with Lumi Games.
How to play
Riders wait in a line at the top. The colour at the front of the line is who boards next.
Tap a bus to drive it out of the lot. It only moves if the lane in front of it is clear all the way to the edge.
The bus parks in a free bay. Riders of the same colour get on, one at a time, from the front of the line.
A bus leaves when every seat is taken, and its bay opens up again. Short buses seat four, long buses seat six.
You win when the line is empty. You lose when every bay holds a bus the front rider cannot board.
There is no timer and no move limit. A tap on a blocked bus costs you a star, so look before you tap.
Tips for bus jam puzzles
Read the line before the lot. The next three or four riders tell you which colours you need now and which can wait.
Keep one bay spare. The last bay is for the bus you did not plan for, not the one you felt like moving.
A bus you park early sits there until the line reaches its colour. If that colour is far back, it is the wrong bus.
When the bus you need is boxed in, count how many buses you must move to free it. If that is more than your free bays, find another way round.
Two buses of one colour fill in the order you parked them. Park the short one first if only a few riders of that colour are coming.
Stuck? The Hint button shows a move from your current position that still leads to a win, or tells you there is none.
How the levels get harder
Levels 1 to 4. A small lot, five bays and two or three colours. Hard to lose; a good place to learn the rules.
Levels 5 to 8. A bigger lot and more buses boxed in behind each other.
Levels 9 to 14. One bay is taken away. From here a careless tap can end the run.
Levels 15 to 30. A seven by seven lot, up to fourteen buses and six colours. These need a plan from the first tap.
This web version and the Bus Fever Party app
Bus Fever Party! is a mobile game by Lumi Games for iPhone and Android. This page is a separate game made by GoofPark that follows the same idea: clear a traffic jam and sort riders onto buses by colour. The rules are close, but the levels here are our own, so a level number on this page is not the same puzzle as that level in the app, and a walkthrough for one will not solve the other.
What you get here is the puzzle without the wait: no install, no account, no ads between levels and no boosters to buy. Your current level is saved in your browser. If you like it, the full game with hundreds of levels is on the App Store and Google Play.
It sits alongside Pull the Pin and Save the Dog, our playable versions of the puzzles from mobile game ads. If you have wondered why those ads look nothing like the games, here is the story.
FAQ
Can I play Bus Fever Party online without downloading it?
The official game is a mobile app. This page is an unofficial browser puzzle with the same kind of gameplay, and it runs on a phone or a computer with nothing to install.
Is it free?
Yes. All 30 levels and the hints are free, with no sign-up.
Is this the official Bus Fever Party?
No. It is an independent fan version made by GoofPark. Bus Fever Party! belongs to its owners, and this site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Lumi Games.
Are the levels the same as in the app?
No. The rules are similar but every level here is our own, so app walkthroughs do not apply.
How many riders does a bus hold?
A short bus holds four riders and a long bus holds six. A bus leaves the bay only when it is full.
What do I do when every bay is full?
If the rider at the front cannot board any parked bus, the level is lost. Hit Retry, and next time keep a bay free for the colour the line needs.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Tap a bus to move it. It also works with a mouse.
