How to play Draw Derby

Draw Derby is a free drawing and horse racing game. Draw a horse, give it a name, and race it in an eight-horse field over 1,000 metres. Your drawing is your horse: its shape decides how it runs.

Draw your horse

Draw any horse you can imagine with a mouse or a finger. A physics engine gives every stroke mass and spring, so the drawing really moves. Horses run best with a clear body, a head and four separate legs underneath, in sensible proportions. Perfectly imperfect is welcome, but a recognisable horse beats a scribble. If you do not want to start from nothing, tap Starter for an editable champion.

Race day

Eight runners race together. Public races match you with other players, and if gates are still empty after five seconds, computer horses fill them. Computer horses can win, but only human times count for the rankings.

During the race you have three carrot boosts. Tap Boost or press Space when the marker is in the green. You need 1.5 seconds between carrots, and good timing can beat better form.
